Restroom Task Force Releases Final Report

RestroomAmenities like clean restrooms are an important part of what makes our parks useable and enjoyable. Most of us know that in many of our city’s parks these amenities are either in poor condition or simply nonexistent. The 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond allocates $11.4 Million for restroom improvements and the construction of several new restrooms.  A Restroom Task Force has been created to gather community input and determine locations for these improvements.

The Restroom Task Force issued their final report in early August, to be presented to the Recreation and Parks Commission in August or early September 2009. Download the report here.

This report provides recommendations for the Restroom Program of the bond, and details how the allocated money might be spent.  Each of the designated restroom projects will have an associated community planning process to discuss specific issues related to that individual facility.
