This month: Steven McArdle, a resident of SF for the past 11 years, lives in the Presidio, but was interviewed walking his dog in Holly Park.
Holly Park is the city’s only circular park. It is located on Holly Park Circle, in Bernal Heights. The park features picnic tables and benches, a barbecue pit, children’s play structures, tennis and basketball courts and baseball field. Read a history of Holly Park here.

What do you like about Holly Park?
Steven: The views are amazing. You can see the city without being in the city. It is neighborly, with kids and dogs along with people running. Holly Park is the most accessible park on the South side of the city. It is cleaner and less crowded then some of the other parks for dogs.
What improvements would you suggest?
Steven: Nothing I can think of. It has tennis courts, a playground for children, space for dogs. The neighborhood is full of great homes and the park is enjoyed by long time residents who are friendly and love the city.
How often do you come here?
Steven: I plan on coming here once a week. The neighborhood has hills which are great for running.
