Park: Garfield Square Park
Garfield Park is a 3.46-acre park located in the Mission District on Harrison St. between 25th and 26th St. This park has many facilities including children’s play structures, a community pool, picnic areas, a turf playfield, and a clubhouse.

How often do you come to Garfield Park?
Carlos: Every day I come to Garfield Park.  Either to see my friends, coach or play soccer.   I live in the neighborhood.
Hussin: I just came to San Francisco a month ago from Egypt.  I live in the neighborhood and I come to the park to play soccer. I also swim at the pool.

What do you like most about Garfield Park?
Carlos: The turf on the soccer fields.  Not all of the parks in San Francisco have turf–some have cement.  The field is maintained here.
Hussin: The people are what make this park–it is a community of friends.   The pool is nice it only costs $4 dollars per swim!

What would you improve? Add more bathrooms.  Create more women’s soccer leagues.
