What is Fiscal Sponsorship?
Fiscal sponsorship is a relationship between an organization such as the Neighborhood Parks Council that has tax-exempt status (the fiscal sponsor) and one that does not (the sponsored group or project). Once sponsored in this way, the group is eligible to solicit and receive grants and tax-deductible contributions that are normally available only to 501(c)(3) organizations . NPC's goal as a fiscal sponsor is to give you the tools and support you need to raise the money you need to have success.
