FEBRUARY 2007 This month: Maria De La Mora, photographed at Garfield Square Park on January 20th

MariaWhat is your favorite park?
Maria: Garfield Square Park.

What is your favorite aspect of Garfield Square Park?
Maria: I used to come here with my family when I was younger. The kids are using it now. At night people are using the field, people are sitting in the bleachers, before the park was not used as much and it was not as clean. The park is looking so much better!

What is your favorite thing to do in Garfield Square Park?
Maria: Just walking around, or sitting and reading a book when it is sunny. A lot of parents come here and use the playground, and kids run around in the field.

Are there any improvements you would like to see?
Maria: The field is a nice open space, but it has a small brown patch that should be taken care of before it becomes a huge brown patch. The kids play on the grass and roll around on it—the grass just needs to be maintained.
